Min. Olivia Carter, the mother of Rhonda Carter Matthews, Chetwin and Ivan Carter, transitioned from this life to the next, Thursday, October 30, 2025. Visitation: Thursday, November 6, 2025, 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Hall’s Celebration Center, 9348 Scenic Hwy, Baton Rouge.
On Friday, November 7, 2025, visitation at New Light Missionary B.C. 650 Blount Road, Baton Rouge, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The funeral service begins at 12:00 pm. Interment at the Louisiana National Cemetery, Zachary, LA following the service.

Thanksgiving Community Outreach
November 16, 2025
For the 2nd year, Greater New Guide will partner with the North Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce to host their Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. This cherished community outreach effort helps North Baton Rouge families in need during the holiday season. This year GNG has gone a step further. To help fill the baskets, we have committed to providing 100 boxes of cake mix. We are asking our members to help us reach that goal. Beginning October 5th, collection boxes will be located in the east wing of the church and the Family Life Center.
We are in need of volunteers so please sign up to help make this event a success. Sign up sheets will be on the bulletin boards, the Family Life Center and our website.
